Saskatchewan's top line of Marleau-Getzlaf-Howe is pretty okay.

Good blog. I say gotta go the patient route as well. Really think we're just going to give the money we should be giving to Petry to Schultz, and it sucks. I hope they at least get a promising young centre out of Detroit near the deadline.

NS has one good line and one decent pairing. The Atlantic provinces doesn't even have that good a roster.

My best attempt (at an Atlantic team):

Glen Murray- Sidney Crosby - Al MacAdam
Ryane Clowe - Brad Richards - Brad Marchand
Danny Cleary - Bobby Smith - Michael Ryder
Steve Ott - Nathan MacKinnon - Teddy Purcell

Don Sweeney - Al MacInnis
Keith Brown - Colin White
Adam McQuaid - Andrew McDonald

Good blog.

While I think standing pat isn't neccasarily the right course of action for our squad, doing anything too drastic and making panic moves definitely isn't either

And That Ontario team is pretty disgusting.

I'm guessing you're going for a balanced attack with Robataille on the first line.

Patience? I am not in favor of blowing it up by any stretch but I would certainly be interested in adding a key player or 2.
I have next to no interest at this point in adding another poop for brains 18 year old kid no matter what his name is. I would love nothing more than to move the 2015 1st for a player that will make a major impact for the next 8 years, and get us as far away from that goddamned lottery as possible.

If patience means not trading for the sake of making a change.

If we could keep the players we have on the roster currently (except maybe Ference and Niktin) and trade our 1sts, prospects, etc. for upgrades at key areas, I'm all for it

I certainly did, the hockey site I was looking at didn't list him because he wasn't born in NS. But he did grow up in Pictou CountyAntigonish.

Then again, if I'm really being fair, Bobby Smith grew up in the Ottawa Valley so he comes off our roster.

18 year old kids are not going to help us, we need established players to compliment the kids we already have.

Exactly bubba. So do we trade our 1st in the hopes we get a defender that gets us close or into the playoffs, making it a less than stellar pick, or do we wait and try to trade it at the draft? There is a risk that it won't be top 10, but then it could be top 3.

Best case scenerio it's a top 2 pick and we can get a Lindros like haul.

Edit: maybe that bad a season isn't the best case.
